Working as a journalist and a book publisher, it is only natural for Stephanie and Thomas to convey their love story through a booklet style wedding invitation! The book cover reveals their purple wedding theme colour and the design comes with matching stickers for envelopes' enclosure!

"Skyline Lover" - New York and Dallas for Hong Kong couple - In House Wedding Invitation design
Elaine and Calvin saw my In House Skyline Lovers Collection and fall in love with the design immediately. They wanted to incorporate the same concept of having two skylines to represent their backgrounds - Dallas (in gold foil) where the couple first met and New York (in white) where the couple now lives.
With a Hong Kong originality, they also wanted to add some Chinese festive colours onto their wedding invitation. The gold foil skyline and the red Bauhinia (national flower of Hong Kong) created the perfect combination.
This wedding invitation suite includes a wedding invitation, envelope sticker, ceremony program card, table number and place card.

Hong Kong Creative Project: MAKE and SWAP
I recently participated in this very cool Christmas ornaments swapping project organised by MAKE and SWAP. The idea is to create some handmade ornaments and post them to other swappers who participated in this project. Before Christmas, I will receive a bunch of lovely handmade ornaments from other creatives! It was such fun making these Christmas rosettes. What an interactive project and I am really thrilled to know there are a bunch of creative designers in Hong Kong!
Hope everyone have a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year!

"Book of Love" Bespoke Wedding Invitation for an Australian Chinese couple from Hong Kong
Brenda and Victor envisioned a fun, relaxing outdoorsy wedding in a country club in Hong Kong. Victor is a very tall gentleman from Australia (hence the kangroo!) and Brenda is a sweet, relatively smaller, Chinese girl from Hong Kong.
Their wedding invitation was written in both English and Chinese, it also contained information such as plan of the day, illustrated map and transportation details in one booklet format. They decided to keep their wedding invitation in pocket size so the guests could keep have all the useful information altogether.
The heart shape on the back of the booklet was filled with shoes to represent the bride's love for shoes, while the hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades respresented the groom's love for playing cards!
Here are some original sketches and you can see how the design had gradually developed from a more children illustrative style into a more elegant and mature design.
For the map, it took me quite some time to draw! Before all the sketches, I researched and studied the map thoroughly, I tried to really learn about the routes and directions as I wanted to ensure what I transcribed onto the map illustration was a hundred percent accurate!

The blue and orange tones on the map compliment the colours of and helped to unify the overall wedding invitation design.
I truly enjoyed working on this project! Look at the final results, aren't these wedding invitations pretty?
